HackCities: Urban Innovation

Django

In recent years, the percentage of rural migration to urban areas has increased greatly to the point that the cities currently host more families in Latin America (83%). This rapid urban growth creates great challenges related to mobility, public infrastructure, public spending, and disaster risk management. These areas were posed in the project HackCities: Urban Innovation in March 2020, where developers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and students, received training and worked in multi-disciplinary teams for 80 hours to create tech solutions to solve social problems. During the following months, the winner team "Mikuna" worked tirelessly and got to implement their solution: a logistic system to distribute school feeding diary for +300K students in La Paz, Bolivia.
